Leading healthcare solutions provider, Simplyhealth, has selected Seven Consultancy as its PR and comms agency following a competitive selection process.
Seven Consultancy is a purpose-led communications agency with clients spanning health, social innovation, technology and finance, including the Longitude Prize on AMR, the Longitude Prize on Dementia, Mastercard, Cushon, and Creditspring.
Simplyhealth is the UK’s first B Corp health insurer on a mission to make healthcare affordable and accessible for all. Founded in 1872, today it has 2.5 million paying customers and roughly 950 staff members. A key part of its business is Denplan, which is the UK’s leading dental payment plan serving both dentists and patients. In 2022, it launched Simplyhealth Ventures, a £60m VC fund investing in innovative start-ups that are positively disrupting healthcare provision, including gynaecological health organisation Daye.
The Simplyhealth account will be led by Seven’s MD Robyn Margetts, together with team members including account director Andrew McKay and junior account director Alice Jaffe.
The team have a wealth of experience in health, insurance and technology. Robyn joined Seven in 2018, having previously led comms for insurance provider LV= and consumer group, Which?. Andrew leads Seven’s work for the Longitude Prizes, as well as other social innovation and sustainability clients, while Alice joined Seven in 2022 from the health desk of the Daily Mail where she was assistant editor.
The news coincides with Jo Sayer joining Simplyhealth as its new Head of Communications from arms-length government body Sport England, where she was Strategic Lead for Communications and Head of Press for six years, working on the award-winning This Girl Can and We Are Undefeatable campaigns. Jo also brings her experience of leading communications for Rethink Mental Illness and as a journalist for News UK.
